Himachal Tribal Circuit – 13 Nights, 14 Days

Narkanda, Sarahan, Sangla, Chitkul, Kalpa, Nako, Tabo, Kaza, Losar, Manali, Chandigarh

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Chandigarh

On arrival pick up from Airport /  station.check in at the hotel and visit sukhna lake Overnight stay in Chandigarh

Day 2: Chandigarh to Narkanda (175 km/7 hrs)

After breakfast check out and proceed to  Narkanda  and  Check in at the  Hotel  and then Proceed for skiing which is very famous at Narkanda and then visit Tani Jubbar  lake, Hatu Pic &  visit   Kacheri,The place is popular for the ancient Mahamaya Temple, evening enjoy the beauty of Narkh and overnight stay in Narkanda.

Day 3: Narkanda  -Sarahan ( 110 kms / 4 hrs)

After breakfast check out, proceed to Sarahan and check in at the hotel. Sarahan, a beautiful hamlet located in the Sutlej Valley, This place offers visitors the opportunity to explore nature at its best. The place is popular for its apple orchards, pine forests, small streams, rustic settings The major attraction in Sarahan is the centuries-old Hindu temple of Goddess Bhimakali. Steeped in legend, Sarahan is also the gateway to Kinnaur valley. Overnight stay in Sarahan

Day 4: Sarahan – Sangla 2,680 meters / 8,792 feet, (90 kms / 4-5 hrs )

After breakfast check out and drive to Sangla, on arrival & check in at the hotel.The Sangla valley is also known as the Baspa Sangla valley, and Visit Sangla Meadow, and Baspa River for fishing, trekking and relaxing Overnight stay in Sangla

Day 5:  Sangla to Chitkul 3,450 meters / 11,318 feet and back to Sangla.

After breakfast proceed to Chitkul, which is the last village on the Indian side on the Indo-Tibetan border. enroute to  Batseri Village you can shop for some interesting local handicrafts. One would require to walk 3 kms (one way) from the vehicle drop point to the border check post. The village of Chitkul is like something from a fairy tale, and you will have a chance to walk slowly around it. Overnight stay in Sangala

Day 6: Sangla to Kalpa 2,758 meters / 9,048 feet (40 kms/ 2-.5 hrs)

After breakfast, proceed to Kalpavillage ,check in at the hotel. you take a walk to Kalpa village and the nearby Roghi village. These villages are covered with thick pine forests and are famous for apricots and apples. You get the  finest view of Mt. Kinner Kailash Mountain (6000 metres) and also visit Suicide Point Nagini Temple and overnight stay in Kalpa

Day 7: Kalpa to Nako-Tabo 3,662 meters /12,014 feet (150 Kms / 5-6 hrs)

After breakfast in the morning proceed to Nako and visit the famous Nako Buddhist monastery, and Nako Lake, and then transfer to Tabo & check in Hotel and visit DhankarGompa, Mystic Mandala Temple, and enjoy the wonderful view of the whole Tabo village with the Himalayas and Overnight stay in Tabo

Day 8: Taboo 3,894 meters / 12,784 feet , ( 90 kms / 5- 6 hrs).

After breakfast  visit the Gue village which is also the last Indian village on Indo-Tibetan border & visit Tabo monastery which is the oldest monastery in the Himalayas & entering the beautiful Spiti valley which is also known as the cold desert of the Himalaya and enjoy the surrounding area and Overnight stay in Tabo

Day 9:  Tabo to Kaza 3,2000 meters / 10,500 feet, ( 50 kms)

After breakfast drive to Kaza (3 hrs.) En route visit the Dhankar village and Dhankar monastery and fort then check in at the hotel. The evening is free to explore in the Kaza market, and Overnight stay in Kaza

Day 10: Sightseeing around Kaza

After breakfast, I drove to the village of Lagna. visit the monastery at the top of the village and on the way look out for fossils. Then drive to Kee Monastery and the village of Kibber Once Kibber (at 4,200 meters) back to Hotel & Overnight stay in Kaza

Day 11:  Kaza – Losar (60 km/4 hrs)

After breakfast check out and drive to Losar. ( 13400as l 57 km from Kaza Losar is a stopover point before one heads into no man’s land of Kunzum la pass and Enroute pass through some traditional village which perfectly showcases the tribal culture of Himalayas. On arrival at Losar, the last village of Spiti valley, enjoy the sightseeing and then  check in at the Hotel. Overnight stay in Losar

(Losar features on a biking route through spiti valley and here typically bikers take a stopover before moving onto Chandertal Lake or Manali or Keylong)

Day 12: Losar to Manali (140 km/8 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Manali on the way visit Kunzum La pass (4551 meters) where temple of Goddess Kunzum is located then arrival at Manali check in Hotel & Overnight stay in Manali

Day 13: Manali to Chandigarh (320 km/9 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and visit  Hadimba Temple, Ghatokach Temple, Van vihar and then drive to Chandigarh En-route visit Kullu Valley and Visit Kullu Shawl Factory, Vaishnav Devi replica temple and then arrive to Chandigarh & check in at the Hotel & visit Sukhna lake

Day 14: Chandigarh drop

After breakfast check out and visit Rose garden & Rock Garden, then transfer to Airport / station back home or your next destination
